This is legit though.
The house I lived in during high school was haunted. The ghost was mostly benign (she did seem to take a bit of amusement from how freaked out she made my mom but… my mom spooked easily) the main thing she would do was turn on the radio.
She thought music coming out of a machine was the best thing she’d ever seen and she would be completely content and not mess with anything as long as there was music playing somewhere in the house. I got in the habit of leaving music on in my room 24/7 just for her, worked like a charm.
